ATLANTA CHILDRENS SHELTER

ATLANTA CHILDREN'S SHELTER is a recipient of 11ALIVE's RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS AWARD and the AWK SUE WIELAND EMBRACING POSSIBILITIES AWARD.

We're meeting more homeless coming into Southern California from the American South... Do homeless have it better here?

"Every morning 13,000 people in our city wake up with no place to call home. Approximately 2,500 of them are children. Founded in 1986, the Atlanta Children's Shelter provides free, quality day care, emotional support, an educational curriculum for homeless children, and focused social services for their families. Dedicated to helping families overcome the issues that contribute to homelessness, including domestic violence and job loss, the Atlanta Children's Shelter focuses on the long term self sufficiency of the family – which sets us apart from other Atlanta homeless shelters."

WE HAVE JUST LEARNED THAT ATLANTA IS THE NUMBER ONE AREA FOR CHILD PROSTITUTION AND SEX TRAFFICKING>
