PASSOVER and HUNGER - JEWISH FAMILY SERVICE OF LOS ANGELES

Recently in the JEWISH JOURNAL, a shiny paper ad WHERE HUNGER IS A QUESTION WE MUST BE THE ANSWER" printed on a square matzo cracker. ALL WHO ARE HUNGRY, LET THEM ENTER AND EAT (From the Passover Liturgy)

A PRAYER FOR THE SEDER TABLE

Your world is full of beauty yet scarred with pain
You have given us plenty and still the world is wracked with hunger

You have directed us to help although we so rarely reach out.
For our blessings, help us to be grateful
For our abundance, help us to be generous
For the love in our lives, help us to share warmth with others
We celebrate the freedom of Passover
Freedom is the power to respond to the anguish of your world
Let all who are hungry come and eat.
Let all who are full come and give
Let us all, no matter our condition, or culture or faith, give thanks for the connection that binds each of us to the other, and all of us to you.
