Man's inhumanity to Man is displayed in city laws that prevent FEEDS in parks. The city of Orlando Florida, which lives around DISNEY WORLD and tourism, doesn't want any homeless people - or the poor but housed - to be fed in public parks. THE ACLU is taking them to court and MAY THE ACLU WIN FOR US!
Thank you "Jerry" for alerting us!

Oh thank goodness!
I was homeless (queer) back in 2002 and 2003 in Orlando and it was a rotten climate. Shelters and sooup kitchens charging money, kicking you out just based on assumptions you aren't following their biblical principles... And food? Without Panera and my ability to dumpster, this diabetic wouldn't be writing this.
I eventually got out, boarded a Greyhound for Kansas and never looked back. People here treat their homeless like human beings, or at least a lot more so than other parts of the country. I am really happy the ACLU is finally stepping up. Before becoming homeless, I used to help feed at Lake Eola but that stopped when that wretched law was passed.
Thank you for this blog.
