San Fernando Valley homeless shelter fills up with people -- and their pets
Six weeks after the Valley's second homeless mission opened its first emergency
shelter, the Courtyard 365 is filled each night to capacity.
Now the $1.4 million nonprofit gives 6,400 meals a month to the homeless each
day at local parks and churches. From its 22,000-square-foot Sun Valley thrift
store and headquarters, it provides thousands of showers, clean clothes and
hygiene kits.
