YAHOO NEWS - UNCLAIMED MONEY IN THE ZILLIONS (just kidding, the number is 58 BILLION!)
Wouldn't that be shit! Maybe you lost your home or apartment, maybe you lost your car and computer, maybe the landlord put your furniture on the curb, and last night in the park was damn cold. Meanwhile, you don't know that there is money with your name on it.
We sometimes hear the news about a homeless person who is a heir to millions (and some would rather stay on the street where they have a sense of community) but even $186. would be good to have.
"Currently, states, federal agencies and other organizations collectively hold more than $58 billion in unclaimed cash and benefits. That's roughly $186 for every U.S. resident. The unclaimed property comes from a variety of sources, including abandoned bank accounts and stock holdings, unclaimed life insurance payouts and forgotten pension benefits."
We just met another someone who is living with relatives in Palmdale after loosing a home, so we just know that you're going to follow the link to the article and to the databases!
