We were talking to someone we know who is usually on the street in the San Fernando Valley.  He said he sometimes goes to Weingart downtown.  His stay costs him $17 a night which is lower than the typically $50 a night at motels in the Valley.  So we take it that staying at Weingart is not free, or for those who only have GR...  As always we're looking for reviews!
