OBAMA CARE MAY FORCE HOMELESS PROGRAMS TO DO IT WAY DIFFERENT

Since we've heard a lot about how shelters and other programs that promise housing do things we have some strong opinions about how access to medical care that is not HOMELESS HEALTH CARE but MAIN STREAM HEALTH CARE may just change things.

Some programs push their "residents" into making permanent disability their whole goal in life, even when they are young and healthy.  In this day and age it is simply not true that most homeless have substance abuse problems or serious mental health issues.  We have some serious questions about why these populations should be living together in shelters, since we have heard of women being raped in shelters, security guards who are looking the other way as resident pimps harass young women, etc.

WE TOTALLY UNDERSTAND WHY SOME PEOPLE PREFER NOT TO GO TO A SHELTER PROGRAM TO GET HOUSING.

We've met the people who are in sleeping bags in parks where so called social workers come and give out their business cards and a lot of promises.  We met people who are never taken in because they are too smart, not sick enough, have the integrity and honesty to not want to "play the game" of faking illness.  So we know that these shelters and other programs DO NOT WANT YOU TO GET WELL OR BE WELL.

We hear it all the time about shelter case managers taking in only those who are already on disability, pressuring others to apply, even having other residents pressure them, threatening people who are having their first experience with homelessness that if they don't go to COUNTY MENTAL HEALTH and FAKE IT they will be kicked out.   Do they say those words?  Maybe not. 

Instead they order a person to one of their sympathetic therapists, maybe even one who isn't licensed, because it you don't then they will kick you out.   The fear and anxiety that these homeless business professions create then hurts your mental health. 

HOMELESS "HEALTH CARE" STINKS!

These so called social workers or case managers are a part of the problem of mental health program fraud that turns people who are either not mentally ill, at least not incurably so, into mentally ill patients for the rest of their lives so they can use mental illness as a way to get you SSI.  Then you're supposed to use the SSI to pay your rent.

So, DO YOU REALLY WANT TO RUIN THE REST OF YOUR LIFE, in order to get housing?   This is the terrible decision you find yourself tossing and turning all night trying to figure out. 

We say NO! 

We only wish the police would understand this!  Many people are staying in their cars rather than face shelter life.


IF YOU HAVE ACCESS TO MEDICAL CARE, you may not become homeless in the first place.
You may be able to keep a job.  You may take care of a health problem before it becomes a chronic or preexisting condition.  YOU MAY NOT WAIT MONTHS OR YEARS while trying to keep going at a shelter for the medical care you need.  YOU MIGHT EVEN DEAL WITH SOME MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS WHO ARE COMPETENT and HAVE INTEGRITY!
