WHY NOT ASK HOMELESS PEOPLE WHO HAVE LIVED AT LAFH if your donations will really be well spent? This is an advertisement. It is meant to solicit funds from you? We are currently based in Southern California and we hear complaints about LAFH's shelter on the streets.

My complaint is that a SINGLE ROOM OCCUPANCY is considered a successful placement for a single person. This usually means a BOARDING HOUSE set up with shared bathroom and kitchen with MANY PEOPLE. The rooms are as small as about 9 by 9 and rent for about $400 to $500 a month.
I hear that LA Family Housing's new 60 unit apartment building is almost ready for moving in over on Glen Oaks. How can I get to live there?
Can anyone tell us why there are a lot of gay or lesbian case workers and management at LAFH? It's not a rumor. I know of at least four. JJ
