The Master Wait List for Affordable Housing Programs is now CLOSED.    The City of Santa Monica Housing Division received over 33,000 applications in 35 hours for the Master Wait List for all Affordable Housing Programs offered by the City including the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program. According to self-reported data from applicants, 3,919 of those who applied are Santa Monica residents, 173 of whom are veterans. While the City of Santa Monica’s website experienced some technical challenges, the Housing Division believes that 33,943 applicants is a more than adequate pool to make use of program funding. According to the Division’s policies and Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) regulations, closing the waiting list is permitted if there is an adequate pool of families to utilize the programs.     Santa Monica Gov - Homeless Services  follow the links tot their "partners."
