Some people hate beggars bothering them, others are receptive: It gives them a chance to do a little something. SOME PEOPLE WANT THE TAX DEDUCTIONS and the SOCIALITE PARTY SCENE TO GIVE AWAY THEIR MONEY. They trust that non-profits will use the funds wisely!
Recently one of us used some of our EBT benefits to buy bread, peanut butter, and oranges to buy lunch for some of our homeless beggers. We didn't have the money cash and this way we knew the money would go to food.
Some people feel "So what if the guy uses this money to buy a beer? He needs it!"
